Prime
Time Adult Care, Inc., a nonprofit organization, originated in 1985
as an outreach program of Christ United Methodist Church. The program
began as a part-time effort and has grown into a five-day-a-week program
that meets state licensure guidelines for centers of this type.
In
1986, Prime Time began a monthly community-wide support group of caregivers,
and in 1989, Prime Time became incorporated.
In
1990, the program expanded to include a separate unit for individuals
who experience symptoms of emotional anxiety -- or for those who need
greater staff assistance than can be accommodated in the larger group
setting of the original unit.
