NAMI Pittsburgh South Support Groups

If someone in your family has a mental illness, we have much in common. We know what a struggle life can be when mental illness strikes, for as family members, we've been there. We want you to know that "you are not alone". Share with us the community of hope we have found through NAMI's Support, Education, and Advocacy.

  • SUPPORT --We come together to care and share in monthly meetings and through telephone outreach.

  • EDUCATION --We learn about the symptoms of and increasingly effective treatments for mental illness. As family members, we learn practical coping skills.

  • ADVOCACY --We work to improve the quality and accessibility of behavioral health services by promoting relevant legislation, funding and research.
